Money Back On Everyday Purchases

Want to receive money back for purchases you were going to make anyway??  Me, too!!!  I’m so thrilled that I discovered My Points awhile back!  In just a few short months, I’ve accumulated quite a few “points” that I am saving up to cash in for a gift card to …. Starbucks, Bath & Body Works, or…..I haven’t decided yet.
Here’s how it works, if you sign up to be a My Points member, you are awarded points for every dollar you spend with their on-line merchants, as well as points for just reading your e-mail.  Now, I don’t do all of my shopping on-line, but I can still use this system to full advantage by buying myself gift cards from the participating merchants (there are dozens!).
For example, Home Depot is a participating merchant.  This last spring, after saving up my “garden” money all winter, I simply bought myself a gift card on line with my saved money.  I then spent the gift card in the store, but I also received 2 points on my account for every dollar I put on the gift card!  We’ve also bought gift cards through My Points for Barnes & Noble, Jo-Ann, and other merchants that we’ve given as gifts, but with 2 – 4 points being added to our account for every dollar spent.
I also buy a lot of books during the year, and most of my purchases are for out-of-print and/or used books.  I’ve earned a ton of points by ordering these books from abebooks.com, a merchant I’ve done business with for years,  but now I’m receiving 2 points per dollar spent.
Use e-bay?  Boy, we sure do!  You can earn points from buying on e-bay as well.  The offer changes, from time to time, but e-bay is usually a 2 points per dollar spent deal.
The majority of my points, though, have come from simply reading my e-mail every day,  (and here is the only down side, if there is one).  You will receive anywhere from five to ten e-mail offers from My Points each day.  Most of these will award you 5 points for simply reading the offer!  At 50 points a day, the points can rack up quickly this way.  I haven’t found the e-mail time consuming to deal with.

It’s very easy to sign up by simply going to www.mypoints.com   However, I would really appreciate it if you would, instead, send me (via a private e-mail – my address is in the side bar) your first and last name, as well as your e-mail address, and give me the pleasure of referring you to My Points.  Yep, I’ll get some extra points for doing it, but you can then invite your friends to join and earn points for yourself.
Check it out!!  Of course, I would love to have the points for referring you, but it’s no big deal if you join on your own.  I know that privacy is important to most of us.  But do check it out and join anyway!!!  How fun would it be to surprise your husband with a gift card for dinner out at Red Lobster or Stuart Anderson’s one evening with your earnings!

  • I love mypoints! We just got our 2nd free $10 Starbucks card I don’t think we’ve made more than one purchase through them, but earned all 2,800 points by opening email.

The one purchase couldn’t be beat with 10 points per dollar plus free shipping!
