It’s been crazy-busy here for a few days, and the weekend is promising more of the same!!  I’ve been busy with household stuff for a couple of days, and Dani and I have been working on a computer project together.  I was hoping to put some begonias in the ground in the back yard yesterday, but ran out of daylight…….it’s raining today!

I baked 32 chicken thighs this morning and have those in the crock pot in the fridge to take to church tomorrow for our fellowship meal.  Dani has been making cookies for church, and also some more cookies and homemade toffee to take to an evening get together that is also tomorrow.  I’ll be making Stroganoff Meatballs for tonmorrow’s evening get together.  I have six pounds of ground beef in the fridge ready to be mixed up, rolled and baked.  It’s so nice having everything made up on Saturday and having only to re-heat on Sunday!  Reminds me of the Israelites collecting a double portion of manna the day before the Sabbath.

In just a bit we will be heading to Corin’s house to celebrate our granddaughter’s 2nd birthday.  What fun!  Copper was able to arrange for a couple of hours away from work this afternoon to join us at the party for at least a little while.

I want to thank those of you who voted for this little blog at the Homeschool Blog awards.  I was very humbled to have been nominated, and I’m just thrilled that so many of you voted for me.  It will be fun to see where my blog ends up on the final tally next week.  Congratulations to the winner in the homemaking/recipes blog category, as well as in all the other categories.  Copper’s Wife has only been around since last summer, and I am blessed that so many of you visit with me here.

God bless you as you look well to the ways of your households!

  • Your kitchen sounds like a busy place today, Cheryl! It will be so nice to have everything done ahead of time. I’m sure you will have lots of fun at the birthday party, I can’t wait to hear about it!
I’m happy to report that I got all the laundry finished, winter clothes put away and most of the house deep cleaned today. It didn’t take as long as I thought it would! LOL
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  • howiesgal – :nono: You may not have any toffee unless you eat all of your dinner! :giggle:

  • Your kitchen is certainly being put to good use this weekend!  Isn’t it wonderful to be working side by side with a precious daughter?  What a wonderful blessing!!  I hope everyone had a wonderful time at the birthday party!
