Thelma’s Cherry Pie Jello

Cherry Pie Jello was one of my mom’s recipes.  We ALWAYS had Cherry Pie Jello for every holiday, event or family gathering.

Everyone loves this recipe!  I don’t even like cherry pie and I love it! This single recipe will make enough for my family to have with dinner for two nights.  If you’re serving a crowd, this recipe doubles, and even triples, really well.

Thelma’s Cherry Pie Jello

1 6oz. box of Cherry Jello
1 can of cherry pie filling
2 or 3 bananas
Bring 2 cups of water to a full boil.  Pour the hot water over the jello in a bowl and stir until the jello is dissolved.  (Do NOT add any cold water!!!).

Stir in the can of cherry pie filling.  Place jello in fridge for a couple of hours or until it is beginning to thicken.  Slice the bananas into the jello and stir in.  Return to refrigerator and chill until set.
