I do appreciate all of your prayers.  I am feeling much better today.  Not quite fit as a fiddle, but better.  Things have been just a bit busy here.  I had quite a bit of on-line business to tend to today for my husband, our homeschool, researching, ordering medications for my family, etc.  It required that I spend way too much time here at the computer, and not nearly enough time tending to my children and my home, nor even to my own heart.  Needful things crowding out the even more needful things today.  It happens to us all from time to time, but where do we go when that happens?  How do we regroup?

I, for one, am getting away from my computer for the rest of the day.  I plan to set the water on to boil for tea, find constructive, enjoyable pursuits for each of my boys (who are sorely in need of some direction just now), and then I will sip a cup of tea while I soak up His Word for just a bit.  Then, freshly renewed by Him and perked up with some caffeine, I will tackle what I can around my home as our dinner cooks and until my husband comes in the door sometime after 7:00.

If I have left questions unanswered, or if you have sent me a message or e-mail in the last few days, please know that I will answer you when I can.  I must keep my own priorities (the Lord, my husband, my children, my home, my church, everything else) in proper order.  I know you all understand.  Thank you so much!

God bless you as you look well to the ways of your households!

  • Take the time to do what you need it is a blessing to see you stay grounded to your priorities

  • Oh I feel the same today. I think I will walk away from my computer for the evening also. I have not spent much time here today, however my time was spent on things that were not the priorities. Deep sigh…..the day is not yet done, so off I go to tend to my family. So glad you are feeling better.

    Blessings, Bren

  • Sorry you are feeling bad! Hope you can get things back in the perspective you need them to be this evening! When you get time, I have ANOTHER coffee cake question! :p Do you make any of them up the night before and leave in the fridge, then bake in morning?

I’ll pray that you have a peaceful, restful night with your focus on HIM!

  • Dear Cheryl,

I pray that you might be all better today.   Take good care and have a blessed Lord’s Day tomorrow!
