Just in case I am scarce, here’s what we’re doing:
Dani is back home, safe and sound, and we are enjoying catching up.  She enjoyed her time at Lisa’s.
My husband is busily working away on our front porch.
My boys are homeschooling, talking to their sister, and “supervising” Dad from the front windows.
I’m working steadily in my home while trying to convince myself that I feel better.

I’m trying to catch up on things around my home, but the interruptions, though pleasant, are numerous…finding the Algebra corrections disk for Aaron, getting Will back on track, running the laundry, doing my morning kitchen routine, giving Will directions, collecting bath towels for the washer, chatting with Dani, sewing a button back on the blouse that I’m wearing , straightening up, drying tears, picking up, thinking about planning my menu for this week though I’ve still not had the time to sit down and do it, IMing with Corin for a few minutes, getting Will back on track, admiring my husband’s new jacket that arrived today, needing to unplug a toilet (which Aaron did for me), looking over my husband’s shoulder at the movie schedules for this evening (I LOVE free tickets!!), eating lunch, listening to my boys’ piano lessons with Dani, giving hugs…………………..

So, if I’m scarce, you’ll know that I’m still here, looking well to the ways of my household.

God bless you as you look well to the ways of your households!

  • :sunny: Hope that you are feeling better soon!
I am struggling with severe fatigue so I can relate about trying to convince yourself that you feel better! I am doing that myself!
You are in my thoughts and prayers!

  • Cheryl,

So sorry you are not feeling better yet!   I will conitnue to pray!   Hooray that Dani is home!

    Take care!

  • I do so pray your feeling better soon… I had a bought last before week where I just didn’t feel myself…. I blame it on being 49 1/2 ~smile~
.. Glad Dani is back at the nest, although I know she must be a blessing no matter whose “nest” she is in!

  • Cheryl,

I’ve been reading your blog for a couple of weeks or so and wanted to say that I hope you really are feeling better (not just trying to convince yourself you are). I too am a wife (for 22 1/2 years) of a law enforcement officer. My husband was a truck driver for nearly 18 years of our marriage though.

I also wanted to comment about the algebra curriculum. I absolutely love the Teaching Textbooks Algebra and Algebra II. Our oldest struggled through Saxon Algebra for a year and a half and really never did get much out of it. Our second oldest is working through Teaching Textbooks Algebra now and loves it.

    Bless you!

  • Michelle – Both of my girls struggled with Saxon Algebra, and my husband and I were just not too happy with it either.  So far, we are thrilled with Teaching Textbooks, despite it’s high price.  It’s been so great, over the last decade or so, to see so many great new products coming onto the homeschool market.
