Copper’s Wife’s 100K Give Away

the drawing is now closed!

thanks to all of you who entered.

Wow!

That was a LOT of you!

Winners will be announced Sunday evening, sometime before I head to bed

COPPER’S WIFE’S 100K GIVE AWAY!!

I got your attention with that, didn’t I?   I don’t have 100K to give away, but as of this morning, at around 8:00 a.m., my site meter clicked over the grand total of 100,000 visitors to this blog!  I think that’s a reason for celebration, how about you?

I thought that the best way to celebrate would be to host a drawing.  As for the prizes, it seemed most appropriate to offer some of the very things we’ve talked about the most in the last few months.  I will be offering brand new copies of the three books I’ve referred to the most often, as well as a set of my own (new, of course) knitted cotton dishcloths.  There will be several winners!

To enter the drawing, you simply need to leave a comment at the end of this post.  The celebration will continue through next Saturday evening, 12/15/07, so be sure to leave a comment on THIS POST (the one you are reading right now!) sometime between now and Saturday at 9:00 p.m., PST.  Please enter only once.  Duplicate entries will be discarded.   Four names will be drawn at random and the prizes awarded as described below.  Winners will be announced Sunday evening, December 16, sometime before I go to bed!

     Here are the prizes:

One copy of Edith Schaeffer’s The Hidden Art of Homemaking

One copy of Jeremiah Burroughs’, The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment

One copy of Pam Young & Peggy Jones’ Side Tracked Home Executives, (the book my homemaking schedule has been based on for almost 20 years!)

One set of four of my 100% cotton, knitted dishcloths

Because I have three different books to give away, I would appreciate your listing the books by priority in your comment.  I’m doing this specifically because I know some of you already own one or more of these titles, and I would love to gift you with a book that you don’t already own.  Perhaps one title or another is something that you have been itching to read.  Let your preferences be known in your comment!  Simply list the three books in order of your preference as #1, #2 and #3 by title.

The first three names chosen will receive one of the books, and the fourth name drawn will receive the dish cloths.  I will do my very best to honor preferences, but if all three book winners have chosen the same book as their first choice, I may be sending them their second or third choice instead.

Oh, but wait!
There’s more!

I left several hints in the last few weeks for my regular readers to let me know they were there.  Almost 150 of you heeded my call.  For you, and you all know who you are, there is a

Special Grand Prize

One of my regular readers, as defined above, will receive a package with ALL of the above prizes:

One copy of each of the three books listed above, and a set of four dishcloths

If you responded to my earlier hints and left a comment at that time, then you are a “regular”; however,  please be sure to comment again on THIS VERY POST so that you will have a chance at not only the grand prize drawing, but also for one of the regular drawings as well.

Have fun!
Thank you for visiting Copper’s Wife!

God bless you as you look well to the ways of your household!

God bless you as you continue on this journey of blogging! You ROCK Cheryl!

  • What a way to celebrate the great achievement. I may consider that one myself when I get there – I am not quite halfway to that point yet, so I have a bit of time. I think I am more of a weekly visitor, not an everyday visitor, for it is not always possible for me to get online – two teenagers and my husband’s business take priority. If I happen to win your prize, I think my favorite one would be the Rare Jewel because as a rather new Christian (it will be my seven year Anniversary of being born again in a few weeks) I am still learning more about Christ, and finding myself learning new ways of dealing with old issues. But any of the others would be helpful too for the chaos in my house – three packrats make it tough to keep the house tidy. But my sincere congrats to your accomplishment. I do love your site, your pictures and find great joy coming here.

  • Hi there!  Thank you for dropping a “congrats” on my site, in the midst of a busy week (what fun though!) and this huge and lovely give-away contest. 🙂  We are thrilled to have our baby safely here, and I’m slowly coming around to some semblence of routine.

If I were to win, I think your dishcloths will be the highlight, but, being an avid book lover, those titles are pretty tempting as well… 1) Rare Jewel   2) Side-tracked Home Execs   3) Hidden Art (I own this one, but would happily pass it along to a friend, should I win!)

Thank you, and  blessings on your week of Christmas fun!!  ~Tea
