Good Intentions

I had really good intentions for posting one more time in May, but it’s not going to happen.  We were blessed to have two families from church over for dinner on Friday evening, and enjoyed wonderful fellowship with them until late in the evening.  My grandbabies came Friday evening, too, and have been with us all day today until evening.  My boys are starting our June/July school term and I have spent a lot of time today organizing and working on that.  Dani picked EIGHT baskets of berries this afternoon and then blessed my socks off by baking two beautiful pies for the freezer as well as a nice, big pie for us to enjoy tonight.  And did I mention my grandbabies were here?  All four of them!  Including the baby who turned one today!!!

I will see you all in June!  Have a blessed Lord’s Day tomorrow.

God bless you as you look well to the ways of your household!

Tell D & C I am still in the hospital for at least several more days. I look like a purple pin cushion

  • Thank you for watching them!  Even if you did FAIL to keep Pixie from turning 1 in my absence!

@Divine_Diva_in_NC – Praying for you Tamara!

  • What a blessing to have family and friends all around you for the weekend!  Sounds like a nice way to close one month and open another! :heartbeat:  Have a wonderful Sunday!  :sunny: Karen T.

  • EIGHT baskets of berries? wow. You must have a mega bramble!

By the way . . . I made Thelma’s Blackberry Cobbler last night (doubled the recipe), putting it in the oven just before sitting down to supper, like you said. Oh dear me, we kept looking through the oven window hoping it’d be done soon. Not only was it quick and easy to prepare, the finished dish was beautiful and tasted *wonderful*! Thank you for sharing the recipe! (oh. i made the cobbler with frozen berries and used a little more cornstarch..excellent)
