The central rooms of my home are dark even on a sunny day.  My kitchen, dining area and living room are all interior rooms, with no windows of their own.  These darker rooms are actually quite cool and nice in the heat of summer, but it’s dark and rainy today.

I love light, bright rooms, but I also love my home, even the windowless parts.  Rather than call my rooms dark and dreary on a rainy day like today, I light a few candles and call it warm and cheery.

Inspired today by the dear one who writes Tomato Soup Cake, I pulled my Buttercream candle out of the closet and lit it up!  Warm, cheery and yummy smelling.

     It’s all about perspective, no?

In a brighter room, this little guy spends a very uncommon day in bed after having a rough night with his asthma.  He’s still needing the inhaler every few hours today.

The Albuterol inhaler wears him out when he uses it so frequently.  His cheerful, affectionate disposition amazes me when I know he feels so crummy.

It’s all in how you look at things.  I like Will’s perspective.

God bless you as you look well to the ways of your household!

  • I like your Will’s view too! What a sweet boy♥

And I see that you are also a Yankee Candle fan… one of my favorite stores is the Yankee Candle store at a nearby outlet mall. I have been studiously avoiding it during my No-Buy year, lol.
Many blessings to you and your family☺

  • @Persuaaded – I do love Yankee Candles, but they are PRICEY!!  I tend to stopper them up, nice and tight, and pull them out only occasionally.  We still keep the house smelling nice with less expensive potpourris and simmering yummy spices.  Still, nothing beats a Yankee Candle’s scent.  Thanks for stopping by, Diane.

  • sweet…. i love candles!!! brings me peace

  • Hi Cheryl,
