Copper’s Day Off

How does a man who worked seventy-two hours in the last week spend his first at-home day off?

He works all day with his wife on a major overhaul of the household finances.

I love that man!heart

God bless you as you look well to the ways of your household!

  • I see Dave Ramsey’s book on the desk.  Are you going to follow his program? My husband and I are researching it ourselves.  Are you doing it online or planning on taking the course?  Blessings to you and your family.

  • @buana – We are doing the course at home with the DVD’s. We plan on having our two oldest at home kinds (Dani & Aaron) take the course with us.

  • we have borrowed the dvds from a friend, and hope to go through them soon, too.  I’m hoping that my hubby will take over our re-haul, because he is SO much better at numbers than I am! LOL!!!

  • Hi Cheryl,

What a gem. Dave is working on ours too. Must be that time of the year.:)

    Have a blessed day.

  • @ObtainingMercy – Let me know how you like the dvds once you start them. Ours are supposed to arrive today, and I’m hoping we can watch the first one this evening. It took us HOURS to get all of the work done yesterday, but it’s behind us now and we’re feeling very optimistic about the long-term outlook.

@elizabethq – I’m not sure if it’s that time of year, or that time in our lives, Elizabeth! Either way, it’s great to know we’re not the only ones in need of an overhaul!

  • Hi Cheryl,

I so agree. We are preparing to move into a new season. Dave is retiring in 16 months. Yikes that will be here fast. I so thankful we have lived debt free. That will make it so much easier when he retired.

    Have a wonderful day.

  • Wow!!  That is truly love in action.  How blessed you are!

  • @elizabethq – Sixteen months will pass quickly, I’m sure! You both have worked hard to be in the position you are in!

    @sixAs – @Kelleys_Cottage –  I am TOTALLY blessed!

  • We took Dave Ramey’s financial peace university 13 week course at our church.  It is great to have small groups to discuss things with and to feel like you are not alone in it all.

  • @Ostara – I’m sure that the small group situation was very helpful. We looked into taking the classes through a few local churches, but the days and times just didn’t mesh with my husband’s work schedule. I love that Dave Ramsey will update our home study kit to a class kit for free if we ever have the opportunity to use what we’re learning to host a class ourselves.
