On Our Table This Week

True confession. I didn’t type up a menu plan for my family last week! In writing up the Walk With Me post for the Menu Planning Series, the time for typing up our own menu in Print Shop never materialized. I’m happy to report that this week’s menu plan was printed and posted on the fridge on Saturday afternoon!

Summer weather has arrived in central California. The lettuce, for fresh salads from our garden, will bolt soon, and then they’ll be done for the season. Turning on the oven to cook dinner isn’t going to happen often, though we will still use it some. It’s time for grilling outdoors, using the rotisserie, and enjoying some summer favorites.

SUNDAY:
Breakfast – Paula Deen’s Ultimate Coffee Cake
Lunch – Salami & Cheese on Whole Wheat and Chips after church
We’re taking dozens and dozens of Dani’s Big Chocolate Chip Cookies to share.
Dinner – We’re meeting Corin, Rob and the grandbabies in town for burgers for Father’s Day. Then we’ll head back to our house for homemade Angel Food Cake topped with fresh picked strawberries from our berry patch and freshly whipped, lightly sweetened cream.

MONDAY:
Breakfast – Waffles
Lunch – Loaded Baked Potatoes
Dinner – Tuna Fettuccine, Green Salad

TUESDAY:
Breakfast – Cereal
Lunch – Egg Salad Sandwiches, Green Salad
Dinner – Taco Tuesday

WEDNESDAY:
Breakfast – French Toast
Lunch – Ham Sandwiches, Baby Carrots with Ranch Dip
Dinner – Rotisserie Chicken, Potato Salad, Steamed Broccoli

THURSDAY:
Breakfast – Rolled 5 Grain (hot cereal)
Lunch – Chicken & Cheese Quesadillas (using the left over chicken from the night before), fruit
Dinner – Grilled Sausages, Pasta Primavera, Mandarin Oranges

FRIDAY:
Breakfast – Pancakes
Lunch – Boys on their own, Dani & I in town for the Fortnightly Marketing Peregrination
Dinner – Sub Sandwich from the grocery store deli

SATURDAY:
Breakfast – Cereal
Lunch – We’ll have lunch at the River Bend Ranch Charity Carnival. (If you can’t attend with us, and even if you can, consider supporting this event through the purchase of raffle tickets. Great Prizes!)
Dinner – Nachos (A Saturday Night Tradition)

Lord willing, there will be a couple of new posts in the Menu Planning Series later this week.

    I just love how simple your plan is every week. It is so encouraging to me. I struggled this week with Dave’s menu. I finally got it togeter and on my blog.So many changes with his health that at times it is confusing and over whelming.

    Lots more salads-YUM! Went to farmers market got some fresh corn, potatoes ,and tomatoes (just startin to come in). We had a lovely veggie dinner sat. night. Grilled burgers, cowboy cassarole, homemade pulled pork bbq, veggie casadias, homemade pizza. Thats it for dinners so far. I am thankful you are here and keep encouragin us :-)! Do ya’ll grow squash? Squash cass. is a big favorite here with lovely vidalia onions.

    Paula Deen’s Ultimate Coffee Cake is one of our family’s favorites! I always keep the ingredients on hand and it goes together so quickly the night before. Yum!
