It’s been a crazy busy couple of weeks, but here we are on the other side of things. Looking back over it all, we’re so very thankful for God’s mercy and provision. Copper’s dad had a medical emergency while on a trip to Canada, but God brought him home safely. We had visitors at our very first service at the new church last week, and even more visitors this week. Dani’s Etsy Shop is open for business and doing well. My husband has worked hard during his vacation and I have a freshly painted front hall and entry way to prove it! Pictures later this week.
I’ve changed things up a bit on this week’s menu. Taco Tuesday is gone, for now. With my husband’s weird work schedule, his making tacos on Tuesdays meant I was cooking dinner for him only one night every two weeks. Harrumph! That will not do! For the next couple of weeks, I’ve also added a mid-week dessert. I love cooking, and I love baking. Why not make a dessert for the family on one of my husband’s days off? Yep, it’s going to happen!
Here’s our menu for the next week, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and the mid-week snacks and desserts, too. There are a few new-to-me recipes this week, and I’ve noted those for you. If any of them turn out to be duds, I’ll let you know.
Breakfast – Cinnamon Rolls
Lunch – Church Potluck – We’re bringing Garlic Roasted Chicken Thighs, Sliced Peaches, Dani’s Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies
Dinner – Wild Dinner (Our term for our Sunday night, every-man-for himself snack fest). I just might make Zucchini Bites (new), too, because Dani’s lone Zucchini plant is producing like crazy.
Breakfast – Waffles
Lunch – Turkey & Cheese Bagel Melts, Chips
Dinner – BBQ Chicken Pizza, Green Salad
Breakfast- Easy Potato and Bacon Breakfast Casserole (new), Orange Juice
Lunch – Sue Gregg’s Tomato Soup, Zucchini Muffins
Dinner – Salisbury Steak, Broccoli Slaw, Basmati Rice Pilaf
Dessert: Cream Cheese Pound Cake (new)
Breakfast – Old Fashioned Oatmeal
Lunch – Mac & Cheese, Applesauce
Dinner – Chicken Apple Sausages, grilled on the rotisserie and then sliced and served over Penne Pasta Primavera, sprinkled with fresh Parmesan Cheese
Snack to share with Corin and the grandbabies – Brownies and Lemon Bars (a pan of each!)
Breakfast – Cereal
Lunch – Chef Dani’s Choice
Dinner – Nachos! (Our Saturday Night Tradition)
