Home Cookin’ – Menu Plan Monday

There’s nothing like good, old-fashioned home cooking! From pancakes fresh off the griddle in the morning, to Steak Burrito Bowls at lunch, and ending the day with a family favorite for dinner, home cooking is just plain ol’ good!

I’m already mapping out some new recipes to try in the coming weeks, but this week all but one of our meals is a tried and true favorite. Dani will be making Chicken Coconut Curry on Monday evening for our one new dinner recipe. I’m looking forward to trying some new recipes myself beginning next week. This week’s menu includes some of my favorites, though, so I won’t be in too big of a hurry for next week to arrive.

  • Hi Cheryl,
I love your menu plans. They are always so simple. I love how you serve cereal for breakfast. This is something I struggle with. Dave loves cereal but I tend to want to cook him a hot breakfast.Which at 5 am is a circus since I am not a morning person.Thank you for showing me it ok to give Dave what he wants for breakfast without feeling guilty.
    Have a wonderful week.

  • Hamburger Patties, Fried Potatoes sound so good right now.
You have a great menu planned! Enjoy your week.

Love to see yor menu plans. I have a question about the sidebar for social media on your site. Is there any way to move it or make it smaller? I read most of your posts on my iPhone and the bad is always in the text, making it hard to read. I just thought you should know this is an issue for iPhone users. Thanks for all your great wisdom, heaven knows I can use all the help I can get and I get a lot from you.

    • Thanks for pointing this out! The Sociable bar only recently moved to the sidebar via an update. I wasn’t sure I liked it there, and now I know I don’t. Dani is going to try to move it back to its original location. Thanks for letting us know it was wonky.

That should be bar not bad. Sorry.

Thanks for responding so quickly. I’ve been reading your blog for years(folllowed you from your xanga blog) and I don’t have much time on an actual computer lately so I catch up with you while waiting in various places. I figured if it bothered me it would probably bother others too. Hope you can get it fixed.

    • Barbara, it should be fixed. I read blogs on my phone, too, but I can read my own blog via a special app, so I didn’t see the problem. Thanks, again, for pointing it out to me. And thanks for being such a faithful, long-time reader, too!
