Copper’s Day Off – While He’s Away Edition

My husband worked an overtime shift today. He was out the door before 6:00 this morning, and he won’t be back home until after 9:00 tonight. He’ll meet me in town for our small group Bible study this evening after work. We miss having him here, but we are so thankful to God for the overtime pay. I really appreciate my husband working so hard.

 Big Boys & Blanket Forts

Will has a bug that will not leave. He’s sick, he’s better, he’s sick, he’s better. Poor kid! He’s in day two of a low grade fever and that horrible dull, achy feeling behind the eyes. After being sick Saturday morning, he felt well enough to go to church yesterday; but then he faded fast in the afternoon. I’m keeping him hydrated and quiet, as much as it’s possible to keep a thirteen year old boy quiet. Just so you know – blanket forts are still happening in my house. That makes me almost giddy!

Our Mondays are planned with my husband being home for a day off. While he’s away on overtime, the day moves at a different pace. Not better, not worse, just different.

  • Our week is a little different this week. Matthew is over in Morgan Hill doing an internship with some friends. Very strange not having him here. Can’t wait to pick him up tomorrow afternoon!
