I’m still working behind the scenes, so to speak, to get the archives all unpacked and settled. It’s nice having everything all right here in one location. I am so grateful to Dani for all of her help!
As most big projects go, this one had its share of glitches. I worked until the early morning hours of Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, and made a pretty good dent in the project. The iced coffee and soda I consumed during the day made working that late possible! The bonus was that I was still awake to chat awhile with Aaron when he came in from work.
My husband even made dinner while I worked!
Projects like this, of course, take time away from other needful things, as evidenced by the layer of dust on the furniture in the background. While I’d really like to have all of the archives in perfect order, all of the recipes indexed in one place, all of the broken links fixed, and everything running smoothly, I know that I’m going to have to schedule that work for an hour or two at a time throughout the coming weeks so that I can still keep on top of things in my home, and so that I’m still able to enjoy what’s left of Will’s summer baseball season.
At the end of the day, the pile of paper that was discarded at my feet really, really bothered me. It all went into the recycling bin, of course; but I’ve been striving toward ending paper waste in my home and I have quite a few ideas that I’m hoping to share with you along those lines in the future. Ending waste of any kind is a great way to look well to the ways of your household.
I’m going to continue working behind the scenes, as time permits; and Lord willing, will keep new posts going up as well. In the meantime, if you run across anything on the site that isn’t working quite right – a broken link, for example, or a missing post title – please let me know via email, and I’ll fix those things first.
