No matter what site I visit on the Internet these days, folks are talking about fall. Fall sales. Fall decorating. Christmas ideas!!!!!
Attention, everyone! It’s still summer!
Fall has always been my favorite season, for a variety of reasons; but this year I am savoring every, single day of summer. With the official start of fall arriving at 4:44 p.m. on September 22, by my calculations, we still have five and half weeks of summer left. Five and a half weeks, people!!
We still have plenty of summer left for swimming and staying up too late. Copper and I still have our annual trip to the coast ahead of us. There are still a couple of landscape projects that we need to tackle before fall. No need to rush. There is still plenty of summer yet to come. I plan to make the most of it.
Tomorrow morning we will meet with the designer to sign our contract and finalize design details for the kitchen remodel. The next morning, a crew will be out to take the final “official” measurements and then materials will be ordered. Even though we are weeks away from demolition of my less than perfect kitchen, I’m already thinking about the finishing touches. I’ve decided on a color scheme of aqua and red, and I’m looking forward to the day, weeks and weeks from now, when the first roller full of aqua blue paint will go onto the walls of my new kitchen.
I have several things I’m working on to share with you, as fall draws near, but for the next week or two, I will be enjoying summer. I may, or may not, pop in here or on the facebook page, with some quick updates; but I will be back toward the end of August with lots to share.
Here’s a peek at what’s ahead.
- paperless home management
- homemaking as art
- life long learning
- updated homeschool curriculum reviews
- book reviews
- menu planning
- encouragement for you as you look well to the ways of your household
Happy summer! See you soon!
