Can You See Me?

Can you see me? I’m out in the country, in the south eastern portion of the Sacramento Valley, frantically waving at you! Our formerly awesome, lightning fast Internet is now slower than slow. Our ISP has been awesome in trying to fix the situation, but it is, apparently, not repairable. Writing and editing blog posts at these speeds is painfully slow and I’m sometimes “timed out” in the process. Every now and again I get lucky, and can get a fairly decent speed. Right now, our Internet is so slow that we cannot even use our Netflix subscription.

Copper and I are looking for alternatives, but our options are pretty limited because of our rural location.

I will try to post through the week as usual, but if nothing new pops up, you’ll know why.

In the meantime, I’m here. Waving. Frantically.

Facebook is very slow today, too. Waving back… hope you get your problem solved!

  • It’s not just a particular web site, and it’s not just today. We’ve watched our fabulous Internet connection speed dwindle over the last month. At first it was just at night, but now it’s bad even during the day. We’re consistently getting 1/4 – 1/3 of our former speed, and now as low as 1/8 of the speed we’re paying for.

Cheryl, you were very close to recieving an invitation to my house when i read *out in the country in south eastern portion* ,i though maybe you were in my part of the country!!!!!! But, alas no, twas Sacramento you were speaking of…sigh. Just know i’d love to have ya if your ever down this way! It’s frustrating about the internet, but on the other hand it can be a release of sorts. We love when you can post though.

  • My friend in New Mexico had something similar happen to them. It even affects the quality of their telephone service.
