Book Reviews

I’m a reader. I read for pleasure, for relaxation, for knowledge and to keep my brain active. I also read rather broadly, choosing books from across the spectrum. I try to write at least a short review of every book I read, and I like to share those with you in the hope that you’ll find a new author, a new genre, or a new title to add to your own reading basket. Again, I do read broadly. Please use discretion before reading any book reviewed here, or elsewhere.

I think that it is vital that you read. Your Bible, first and foremost, but you will benefit from reading other books, too.

Here are the titles of the books that I’ve read and reviewed. Each title is a link to the review for that book.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, by Rebecca Skloot

SOS! The Six O’Clock Scramble to the Rescue, by Aviva Goldfarb

Sacred Marriage -What if God Designed Marriage to Make Us Holy More Than to Make Us Happy, by Gary Thomas (Very brief review)

Financial Peace Revisited, by Dave Ramsey (A very brief review)

Simple Country Wisdom – 501 Old-Fashioned Ideas to Simplify Your Life, by Country Living Magazine (Very brief review)

Feminine Appeal, by Carolyn Mahaney

The Hundred Days, by Patrick O’Brian

Letters to an American Lady, by C.S. Lewis

Money for Nothing, P.G. Wodehouse

(Where are the older reviews? Moving the archives from the old site is a painstaking, time consuming process. Those reviews will be linked here in the future. In the meantime, let me know if you’re looking for something specific, and I’ll help you find it.)
